Apparently since 2009 Fall Out Boy have been on “indefinite hiatus” but have not broken up. Whatever that means I’m sure Pete Wentz’s ego has something to do with it. I’m pleased to have found out, albeit a little late, that lead singer Patrick Stump has released a solo album. Stump returns in a much sleeker, less ginger chops package and takes on a soulful electronic pop rock sound. So basically Fall Out Boy with less punk more synths! It’s not mind blowing but either way I’m glad he’s back in full swing because to be honest it’s really his voice that I missed.

If you like Lupe Fiasco, I think you might like my blog, Rhymes and Reasons. It is a series of interviews with hip-hop heads who discuss their lives in the context of a few songs that matter to them. The interviews tend to focus on questions of justice like racism, sexism, sexual violence, white privilege, etc. I hope you enjoy it.
