It’s probably been the mildest October I can remember in a long time but be prepared for the turn! Embrace the cooler days with my pick of beauty must haves this Fall:
Wild Rose Beauty Balm £37, Neal’s Yard – A great beauty all rounder that I cannot recommend enough. It’s a rich cleanser, gentle exfoliant (when used with warm a muslin cloth) or deeply nourishing balm. I use it as an intense night moisturiser for when my skin needs that extra hydration.
Redken Diamond Oil £28.25, Feel Unique – Forget argan oil that just seems to sit on your hair. Try this new hair oil from Redken which comes in two strengths. It not only leaves your hair smooth and silky on the outside, it nourishes and really penetrates your hair from within without leaving any greasy residue. Frizz can go do one!
Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette £20, Debenhams – Create that three dimensional glow with this great palette. Bronzer to contour, blush and highlight. It’s all you’ll need!
Essie in Twin Sweater Set £5.95, Beverly Beaute – A vibrant crimson to stand out against the dull hues of Autumn.
I cannot stress enough the importance of using primer before applying any makeup. Especially in this heat wave we’re having! Not only will it help your makeup to stay put it will make your makeup appear more vibrant and clear. There are several products on the market but its best to ask for samples to see what works with your skin type but try to stick to ones that are light in consistency. Here is my pick of the best:
NARS Light Optimizing Primer SPF 15 £25, NARS
Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Complexion Primer Potion £19, Debenhams
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Light £25, Smashbox UK
The POREfessional £24.50, Benefit
I’m using summer as an excuse. Yes, I know I live in London and that season doesn’t exist but I’m standing by it!

COVET: Alice Tait’s map prints, £17.99 (print only) £89.99 (framed) – I love the Paris print!
EAT: Namaste Kitchen, 64 Parkway, Camden, NW1 7AH – Modern Indian beautifully presented at a very reasonable price. Delicious food and with an open grill in the back the aroma will have you wanting everything on the menu!
DO: Lichtenstein: A Retrospective – an exhibition at the Tate Modern, open now and closes 27th May
WATCH: “Untouchable” (“The Intouchables”) – A delightful French comedy (yes, you heard me right. French comedy!) about an unlikely pair – a quadriplegic aristocrat who was injured in a paragliding accident and a young man from the projects. At times sentimental but will have you laughing all the way through from the opening scene. You will not want it to end.
